About Debi and Dreams by Debi

Hi, I’m Debi Bolocofsky and Dreams by Debi is my new online store.  I have finally redone my old store, because I wanted it to be a little more like me and the many things that I love making.  I love knitting, crocheting, sewing, and designing.  My store has evolved many times over the last several years.  I started with custom slip covers, then went to custom clothing, and then knitting and crocheting.

I started knitting and crocheting again after my grandfather passed away several years ago.  My daughter was very ill and needed to be home schooled, and I was having a difficult time coping with all that was happening in my life.  Knitting and crocheting became my therapy, they are what got me through a very difficult time in my life.  I have been knitting and crocheting ever since.  I have found that knitting and crocheting get me through the difficult times and the good times.  There have been many of both over the last several years.

I have a great family.  My husband is an attorney, and I adore him.  He is my best friend and my rock.  I have 3 children, a 19 year old son in college, an 18 year old son who will graduate high school in 3 weeks, and a 17 year old daughter who is a junior in high school.  They are all wonderful and I am very fortunate.

I hope to write in here daily about the new things I am making and the creative process.  I have been inspired by several blogs that I have read lately, and hope that I am able to contribute to someone else’s creativity.
